Aramid yarn has extremely high specific strength and initial modulus, giving the final product excellent tensile strength, impact resistance and dimensional stability.
Due to its unique chemical structure, the yarn itself has excellent flame retardant properties. The limiting oxygen index (LOI) of aramid is high, significantly improving the fire safety rating of the final product.
Aramid has good resistance to most organic solvents, oils, weak acids and weak alkalis, and is not easily corroded or degraded.
Based on these characteristics, dyed aramid yarns can be used in protective equipment, such as high-temperature resistant fire protection suits, and also in industrial reinforcing materials, such as tire cord.
